Eventually, I knew I had to build it.

My background is in business, not medicine. After 20 years in financial education and seven in regenerative medicine, I kept coming back to one question: what would the patient experience be like if I took every place this industry was falling short and worked to make it better?

Let me tell you how I got here.

For 20 years, my work was financial education. Helping someone understand their choices was only part of it. What mattered was helping them do something with that knowledge. There’s something amazing about watching someone realize they understand their choices and feel empowered to act on them.

Then I spent seven years in regenerative medicine, working across different parts of the industry within someone else’s vision. I helped people understand their options and looked closely at the companies and products behind them. I’ve also been a regenerative medicine patient myself six different times, so this is personal.

I saw clinics and seminar companies grow faster than they could keep up with. Details slipped. Standards and patient support suffered. I saw recommendations that made more sense for the company’s bottom line than for the person sitting in front of them. Those things always bothered me.

I also got frustrated with the “straw man” arguments I’d hear: making an issue out of something that distracted from the real questions or made everything sound more complicated than it needed to be. I wanted to help people make sense of it, not add to the confusion.

Then a friend said, “Well, then stop pointing the finger and build it yourself.”

That stayed with me. I started looking at every part of the experience. The products. The recommendations. The pricing. The time people had to learn. The support afterward. Wherever I’d seen things fall short, I wanted to see what I could improve.

I kept thinking about someone exploring this for the first time. Or someone like me, who’d already come up short in one way or another and was willing to take one more look. What if they found Direct Wellness, and I actually delivered the experience I had in mind? How amazing would that be for them?

After seven years working within someone else’s vision, I knew I had to build it. It was my own little “Field of Dreams” moment. If you build it, they will come. So I built Direct Wellness. And I’m proud of it.

It’s a place I’d feel good about sending a friend or neighbor to. Here’s what went into making it that way.

I’m not trying to build the biggest clinic.

I want us to be the right size to serve this region well. I work on the business and in it every day. I’m here, involved in the day-to-day work, seeing what’s working and where we can do better. We keep a small team and a busy, carefully coordinated schedule so we can stay close to the details and hold our standards.

Growing too fast often means overhead gets out of hand. I use technology to take care of behind-the-scenes work and help keep those costs down. I’d rather put our resources into the quality of the products, the services, and the support you receive than into window dressing that adds nothing to your care.

To me, serving someone well means helping them explore what’s possible for getting more of their quality of life back. That’s what the business needs to be built around.

For those who want to know what goes into it.

There’s a lot to sort through. Who actually makes the product? Where does it come from? What’s been tested? A name on a vial doesn’t answer those questions.

I’ve spent time looking into sourcing, manufacturing, testing, and documentation. You don’t need to become an expert in all of that. We explain what you’re getting, and we have the details to back it up.

The value has to make sense.

We put our starting prices where you can see them. Our lower starting price puts protocols for more than one joint or area within reach. You shouldn’t have to pay a premium just to get educated.

What still amazes me is that people can factor in a flight here and find that our pricing and mix of options make the trip worthwhile. That says a lot about why keeping overhead under control matters.

And having options matters, too. Different regenerative tools interact with the body in different ways. Often, a plan calls for more than one, each with a different role. Our medical team looks at your goals and health history to recommend what belongs in your plan, with a reason for each part.

Let’s just have a conversation.

You don’t need the right terminology or a prepared list. Tell us what you’d like to get back to. Ask whatever you don’t understand. We’ll talk through the options, what the research tells us, and what’s still being studied.

Medical decisions belong with you and the medical team. My responsibility is to make sure the business supports that relationship: time to learn, access to the details, and attention to what matters to you.

That’s what I’d want for someone I care about. It’s what I want for you, too.
